Milton Family Voice

This is a open forum for local families to contribute to the Community Improvemebt Partnership. It is very much in its infancy but has just set up a web presence on Portsmouth Learning Net where it can be accessed via the extended schools link on the menu. Our project manager is keen to see this develop further as an indicator of local families views and needs.

   

Age Concern

We have links with the local branch of Age Concern, who provide intergenerational support volunteers who come in and read with our children weekly.

Sea Britain 2005

Portsmouth has been at the heart of this year long events programme to celebrate our maritime heritage alongside our modern connections with the sea. The school already has links with the Royal Naval Dockyard and we have a commemorative ship’s anchor and capstan as landscape features in our grounds.

Our school is part of the South East Community Improvement Partnership, one of 5 throughout the city. Community Improvement Partnerships are an amalgamation of two key government initiatives:

Education Improvement Partnerships, focussed on delivering outcomes of Every Child Matters in all schools through childcare and extended services plus school improvement, raising attainment and improving behaviour.
