Headteacher

Miss Page is our Headteacher. She has been at the school since September. She enjoys coming into our classes and working alongside us and often comes round to give us a sticker or a certificate to send home. She always enjoys Fridays when it is celebration assembly and can give out her special Headteacher award stickers.

 

Mrs J Al-Khalili

Admin Officer

My name is Julie Al-Khalili and I have been workng at Moorings Way for over 6 years. I look after the administration and finances of the school.
I am also a school governor and one of the school's three qualified first aiders. If you need any help or information about any aspect of the school please ask me, if I am not able to help I will find someone who can!

   

Mrs Perryman

Office Manager

Mrs Perryman is a very busy lady within our school. She ensures that everyone who would like a hot lunch is on the list. She talks to the kitchen staff daily and makes sure that all the bills for lunches, milk and Coastguard club go out on time. She is also part of the team for Coastguard club at the start of the day. She also supports the Finance Manager in monitoring all the budget and watching our spending!

 

Miss Cresswell

Coastguard Manager & Cover Supervisor

Miss Cresswell is a very busy lady within our School. She the Coastguard club Manager which means she is in school before 8am in the morning, getting the activities ready for the children who arrive to share their breakfast together. When the club finishes at 8.55am, she joins a class in the school and then begins her other role as Cover supervisor where she leads learning, to allow class teachers to plan and assess childrens work.

Site and Grounds - Caretaker

Mr Perryman is our caretaker. He spends his time ensuring that the building and the grounds all run smoothly. Often he is not around during the school day, but pops in and out of school to keep a check on us all.

My Name is Miss Brady. I am your friendly lollipop lady  My job is to get the children across the road safely in the morning and afternoon. I stand on the corner of Warren Avenue and have been doing the job for nearly 8 years.
 I enjoy my role and being part of  Moorings Way Infant School. I look forward to meeting and greeting you and helping you across the road!

   

Mrs Horner & Mrs Hulson

Lunchtime Assistants

Two very busy ladies who support the children at lunchtime. They are always happy and smiling ready to start a new game of skipping, or to chat to the children about what they have been learning in class. In the lunch hall they make sure that the children enjoy their hot meal and try new food tastes, as well as opening yoghurts and encouraging healthy lunch box choices.
Mrs Horner is also part of our walking bus team.

 

Mr Gurney

 

Year 1 class teacher

Mr Gurney joined us at the beginning of the school year and he is teaching in Year 1. He has already led the Christmas production in December 2009, taught many of the children British sign language and enjoys creating learning that explores childrens hidden talents.
