Year 1 Pictures

Our display for Chinese New Year      We displayed our Rainbow Fish in the school hall      Rainbow Fish

Numbers are fun, this display helps us.      Our questions about AIR :: We have all tried to think about what we would like to try and find out about air. Mrs Lewis and Mrs Hawkins will help us find out the answers. Miss Fellows is also working with us at the moment and she is going to plan in using our new laptops to help us do some research into air.      Dreamcatchers :: These look really beautiful in the year 1 area window. As the window is opened the breeze just catches them and blows the feathers. They look really attractive.

Artr work on display :: As a class we have created the background for this display linked to air and are adding to it weekly - we are really proud of our efforts!      World Map- Where in the world? :: This shows the display at the beginning of the summer term in Year 1, they have a few postcards showing some different locations and countries around the world. I will show another picture of the display in a few weeks, and you will be able to see the changes. Feel free to pop into the class area to watch it grow and grow.      Pirate Song :: We enjoyed exploring the poem and making up own words and pictures.

Chinese New year display board      Chinese New Year dragons :: We made our dragons in our Multicultural Week, when we were told a story in Chinese. We had to make them look bright and colourful!      Chinese New Year dragons :: Here are some more of our dragons.

Spring and nature :: Mrs Lewis has begun this display in our learning area, so that we can explore the season and theme of SPRING. We have been undertaking some planting and thinking about how things grow and change. We will be linking this work with our Science, Maths (measuring the growth of plants) and Literacy. Pop into school to watch with us as plants, bulbs and seeds change over the half term.
